The History of The Forest Clay Target Club

The Forest Clay Target Club was originally known as the Sutton Forest Clay Target Club in the Southern Highlands. This club was established in the early 1970’s but due to the housing developments in the area the club was forced to relocate.

The club then moved to 60 Nolan’s Rd Lakesland/Oakdale, 12 kms from Picton town centre and began an extensive building program to become what it is today. With the addition of a modern club house and amenities the club was then renamed “The Forest Clay Target Club” and was officially opened in 1981.

In total this club has been open to the shooters for over 40 years combined and over 30 years at the present location. The club has staged many events and has continued to support and donate to many needed local charities.
